Run-on thank-you notes

We just wrapped up our thank-you notes for Christmas (phew!) and one thing I noticed, besides the generosity of friends and family from far away, was the tendency of certain hastily-written notes to look like this:

Dear Aunt Pat thank you for my Lego set I love it I will play with it all the time I hope you had a great Christmas I love you I hope I see you soon

Ahhh… it’s like punctuation disappeared along with the Christmas tree.

I can’t say the kids were pleased to see this run-on sentence activity appear in their schoolboxes, but it was definitely deserved.

It’s a run-on thank-you note. They have to edit and then rewrite it (yes, children, the WHOLE thing). Cue the wailing.

But hey, parents and teachers, it’s FREE! Get it here.
